Location: The closest villages are Murs (approx 2 km, Clere du Bois (approx 3 km) and Paulnay (approx 4 km) where there is a grocery/ bar/restaurant. Other villages close by include Azay le Ferron and Clion and they both have a bakery, butcher, supermarket, pharmacy and hairdressers.
The largest large town is Chatillon sur Indre which is approximately 9 km away. Chatillon has several supermarkets, banks, schools, restaurants, doctors, hospitals and various shops.
The royal town of Loches is 30 mins away and this has an excellent international school as well has many shops and a large market twice a week.
Clos de La Richaudiere is ideally located from a tourist perspective as it is close to the Brenne regional natural park (10 mins) and all the main tourists attractions that the Loire Valley offers. It also offers excellent riding and walking as there is direct access on to a randonnee (bridleway).
Within 30 mins there are lots of other attractions eg Loches (medieval and royal town), Chedigny (village with the roses festival), Montresor (one of the nicest villages in France), Angles sur l'Anglin, Beauval zoo (one of the best in Europe), La Haute Touche reserve or Azay le Ferron castle.
Within 60 mins there are all the world famous chateaux (Amboise, Chenonceau,Valençay, Cheverny, Chambord, Chaumont) and large cities such as Tours and Poitiers (including Futuroscope).
There are golf courses in Villedieu sur Indre and La Roche Posay, both 30 mins drive. In Chatillon sur Indre there is a fully renovated public swimming pool.
There are several leisure lakes (Bellebouche, Chemille sur Indrois, Saint Genou) at 20 - 30 mins drive.
Riding bicycle is very pleasant on quiet roads in the countryside or along the river Indre.
Closest airports are Tours, Poitiers, both 60 mins drive. Limoges is approx 90 mins drive. Paris is 250 km and the coast (La Rochelle) is 230 km.
